Slow Down & Enjoy

New Year's Resolutions. Resolution Shmesolution. I suck at them. Really, really suck. So I am not really making any. K and I have talked about a few things that we would like to do this year- which basically includes nothing. Slow down and enjoy. We are not slow paced people. We are not homebodies. We are not simple. We want to be those people this year. Here are things that I want to do:

{*} Find a church home
Now that we have made a pact to stay at home for a while, it will be a lot easier to devote every Sunday to finding a place of worship.
{*} Eat dinner at the dinner table, not in front of the TV
I don't like our current table. I keep hinting telling K that he needs to buy me a new table. It does have chairs so I guess the fact that it isn't my favorite is no reason not to sit down and eat on it. Ugh.
{*} Stay at home more
Actually fully unpack my suitcase and store it away. Not practically live out of it.
{*} Learn to say No
To things I don't want to do, or things that will overwhelm me if I take them on.
{*} Sew more, craft more, create more
I now have a craft nook in our new home, I have a pretty sweet sewing machine and K's mom just gave me an embroidery machine. What What! I want to make time to take full advantage of it all!
{*} Not get pregnant. Just sayin'
Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled... but I really want time to enjoy Chamblee this year and spend all my time losing the rest of this baby weight loving on her- not throwing up.
{*} Slow down and Enjoy
Listen to more music. Read more. Spend more time outside. Simplify.

Not too shabby. All realistic goals with great benefits. I am excited about this year. I am embracing it. I am getting started already! I just signed up for a sewing class this week with one of my friends. Hooray!

Lastly, and just for fun... A year in picture review:

I got pregnant. Mae got married! B got married!  My sister got pregnant! I turned 25 when the Brinson girls went to San Diego. K and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary in Asheville. My sister-in-law got pregnant! My brother got engaged! Chamblee was born <3. The Guffeys went to California. Sam was born <3. We bought a house. Chamblee had her first Christmas. Meg was born <3... To name a few.

What an awesome year.

Until Next Time,
The Guff
