There are about to be so many pictures on this blog.
This weekend has been FAB! Friday K came home super early from work and brought me these:
Not one, but two bouquets of tulips! Ah! Gorgeous.
The day was beautiful- and the sunlight coming in through the windows was truly magnificent! I just couldn't help but to put Ophie up on the table and capture some shots:
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:5
Speaking of table... ... ... Remember this little lady?
We spent our day today giving her a makeover. We started out by sanding the whole thing, priming it, painting it and then distressing it. Phew! It took all day, but it was so worth it. She looks incredible:
Click the pictures for close-ups
I thought I wanted to stain the top of the table darker, but after we sanded it a little bit and wore the gloss off, I decided that I really liked the color. I decided to go with a dark grey that I found at Home Depot in the Oops paint section. 1 gallon cost $5! We used the same color grey to paint our half bathroom downstairs- which we also started today. I am dumb and I forgot to take a before picture, but imagine 'apartment beige'. Here she is in the middle of the project:
What else could we possibly have done this weekend?
Well, we drove to Kennesaw Saturday to pick up an island that we bought on Craigslist for my kitchen!!!
It doesn't match my kitchen cabinets exactly, but it is SO pretty. The top is all butcher block. Dy. Ing. I can't decide if I am going to live with the mismatch or eventually refinish it. For now I just like looking at it. It adds so much counter and prep space to my kitchen! I got to use it tonight when I made pesto chicken and zucchini bites:
Seriously. I made that. Pick your jaw up off the floor. The pesto chicken was basically chicken cooked on the skillet in pesto oil, then rubbed with pesto and topped with parmesan cheese. The zucchini bites are just cold zucchini {or squash} with cream cheese, olives and chives. DELISH.
Our next project? A dining room cabinet that we found at a consignment shop last weekend:
Tonight I made my first Craigslist purchase! I have been looking for a new dining room table for. years. A couple of 'em.Years, not tables. And I found just what I wanted on Craigslist. -ish. It's a country kitchen table- which I was looking for- with hunter green legs. Not my fave. It's the perfect size, and it has a bench! I'm gonna show you a picture- but before you get all judgy- just imagine all that it will be! :)
I am totally diggin' the pedestal legs. Ugh. I die. I am already so excited to have it in my house and to be rid of the glass table top that we had before. So. Much. Work. to keep that thing clean. The chairs are in great condition, but aren't what I have in mind for my dining room. I want a mix match set. I'm inspired by these beauties:
Now the challenge is what color to paint the legs. Grey? Off-white? Mustard? Robin's Egg? HELP!
Oh yeah, I'm staining the top too. I love the dark wood... mmm hm. Hopefully you will all see it at my open house. If you come. It's gonna be soon! Now. If I can only find the time to DO all of this!!!
So I went next door to meet my neighbors. That's where I left off. I went across the street first. In the cold, with a bundled baby. All of their cars were in the driveway. It was 5:30. Perfect timing. They are home from work, but not eating dinner. Iknocked, twice, and got no answer. I just knew they were that private type who were watching me from the upstairs window- wishing me away. So away I went. To my next door neighbor. Sweetest man in the world. He has lived in this neighborhood with his wife since '65. He loves it here. We can borrow tools anytime we want. It was so nice to meet him. I got home just in time to see my other neighbors getting out of a random car. All of them. Guess they weren't home after all. I haven't made my way back over there. Yet.
We are making big, big plans for our home. Paint, furniture, fabric and such. We have ordered some furniture and have also found some at consignment that I am going to fancy up. There are a few Craigslist pick-ups in the works, and I am hoping to get even more fab finds this weekend via garage sales and some antiquing. Who's comin' with me?! K has a golf date with his boys so it's me and Cham to busy around on our lonesome. Can't you live closer? :(
I really, really can't wait to show ya'll the stuff I'm workin' on. I hope it turns out as good in real life as it looks in my head. And because I can't have a blog without a picture of my baby...
...chewing the table. And YES! She sits on her own in a highchair now. So. Weird.
I know, I have been out of commission for almost a week. You missed me. Right?
I have been so fortunate to have been able to borrow a computer since we were robbed. I wanted a new computer that I could blog with. Facebook with. Online shop with. That's about it. I know nothing of gigs and bites bytes, memory and drives, rams and speeds. What. Ev. I told K earlier in the day to just run by the Apple store and pick one out for me.Is that weird? He wouldn't do it. So tonight he came home from work, loaded us all up and we headed for the mall. I knew which one I wanted within seconds. K said it's the one he would've gotten for me, anyway. How sweet. And, here she is:
The 11 inch MacBook Air. I decided on the 11 inch mainly because she was teeny and would be easier to travel with. I love her, so.
There's much to be blogged about- I have had a fun week! And rest assured, you will hear of it all. But for now, I wanna play with my new toy.
Thank You, oh, Thank You Sheila for letting me mooch the past month. I owe you big time!
It's only happened a few times. Grey's Anatomy. Lost. Friday Night Lights. And now, Prison Break.
It's kind of insane. I haven't ever seen a show- and then BAM I'm sucked in. And I have to watch the seasons from start to finish/present back to back to back. While we were snowed iced in, we started watching Prison Break on Netflix. Have you seen it? You have to. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. And now, We are 22 episodes in. In. Sane. And this is only season 1!
Sweet girl has been a dream today. Eating well and going down nice and easy for all of her naps. It's a good day when I can get a showerin a room by myself and eat lunch with two hands. Score! I even had time to organize my craft nook a little, and paint a little sample area of the blue I picked out for my laundry room. It's not gonna work. Neeeeext!
I am about to walk over and meet my neighbors. For some reason, I am really nervous about it. What if they think I'm weird? What if they are not talkative and after I introduce myself they just blankly stare at me and shut the door in my face? What if ... what if... they hate babies?! I mean, it can't go that wrong, can it? I think it's weird that no one has come to introduce themselves to us... But this is coming from the girl who knew every family on the block growing up. I think it is so. weird. to not know your neighbors.
Ok confession. I totally googled: "How to meet your neighbors." I mean, I know I just walk over there. But what am I supposed to say? I noticed you don't take very good care of your lawn. Or, I see you're an Auburn fan. Hm. Or better, I totally waved at you and you ignored me. Remember? I'm sure something to say will come to mind once I am standing on their porches. But God help me, I hope it's not something lame. Outlook: Not so good. Here I go...
Chamblee and I have a problem. Each. They are very different problems, and they are both pretty serious. Her problem happened to lead to my problem, so I'll start with explaining hers.
She pees. Through her diaper. When she used to wear cloth diapers to bed, they leaked/overflowed/drenched pretty regularly at night. So we started putting her in disposables overnight. That worked for a minute. Now, pretty much every night, her diaper overflows. From the top. We go in to get her cheerful self every morning, and she is sitting there. giggling. drenched in her own peepee. from the belly button to the neck. Her jammies are soaked, her sheets are soaked, her blanket is soaked. Pee. Everywhere. We haven't figured out what to do... Any. Tips. Are. Needed.
So, today I set out on a mission to get a couple of spare sheets and a pack of overnight diapers in Cham Cham's size. I went to Target.
Here lies my problem.
I went for sheets, remember?
...I came home with: 3 sheets. 2 pairs of shoes. Not just any shoes. A pair of pink leather snow boots. Appropriate. And the coziest little pink booties. Leg warmers. A sleepy. Two pairs of pants. 5 blankets.Another problem for another day. Some are for gifts, though. A crib set- bumpers and a quilt. You know, for that baby boy we don't have.
So. Before you call for an intervention, let me explain. One- I love Target. Two- and more importantly- everything you see here was on sale somethin' serious. Three- A lot of these things will be gifts. Four- K should have known better than to send me, alone, to Target after being stuck in my house for a solid week. Just sayin'.
After getting home and doing more math than I have done in, oh, 7 years, I found that I had really done well. I managed to purchase around $250 worth of merchandise for less than $60. Yes. The sale was that. good. I felt like one of those crazy cool couponers who had just gotten $100 worth of groceries for free. Except I paid. Whatever. Close enough. See below for a breakdown of pricing- Original vs. Purchase price.
Chamblee has something to say: ws ybbbb fthtn 8ygbbuyiibbbbbbbbb
On Saturday, I channeled my friend Alaina and decided to go thrift shopping. I was on the lookout for furniture to refinish, some containers for my craft nook or anything that might catch my eye.
I found a few things and at the end of the day spent only $14! Here is what I found:
I got the glass jars to store buttons and nick-nacks in my craft nook! I got the wall shelf to hold the jars and other containers that I have. I am going to sand it down and paint it. I don't know what color, though. The room is currently decorated in off white & black damask. Color needed! Any ideas welcome! I got the kid's chair to paint and stack Chamblee's books on until she gets a big girl book shelf in her room. Something like this:
The mail collector is in really great shape! I want to paint it a color and cover up the date numbers. I want to use it to hold all of my stationary. I have kind of a problem with paper. I love buying stationary. Thank You cards, blank cards, funny cards, birthday cards... I 100% straight up get it from my mama. I'll buy cards all year around and then when it's someone's birthday or Easter or whatever, I just look in my box and pick a card. My own little Hallmark. It has a small little drawer to store pens and stamps and maybe even a little address book. So cute.
Next I went to Home Depot to look at their oops paint. They didn't have any fun colors so we bought 4 samples to put on the walls.
If you guys are in the mood for some online "thrifting" go over to The Adventures of Ordy & Joon. My gal pal is doing another giveaway and even has an online Yard Sale going on. Don't get too excited, though. I am buying most of it!
Hopefully it won't take years to get Before & After pictures up of my refinishing projects. I am going to shoot for getting them started tomorrow! Tomorrow is a holiday, so K is home. Again. I could get used to this ;)
Yes, I am still awake at 4am. No, I don't know why.
I'm too awake to go to sleep and I'm too sleepy to really write a blog.
So I decorated some photos for kicks and thought I would post those instead of thinking about what to write! They should sum up what we have been up to the last few weeks.
Or not. I hope you enjoy them, nonetheless.
Cham wore her party dress & new year's onesie to bring in the new year!
...She scoots in a corner and I have to pull up her bumper pads so she can breathe!
Even when I move her back... she scoots again!
She laughs and laughs at him. He is terrified of her.
Girl has more static than every sock in the dryer. Love her wild hair!
Chamblee wears a pretty dress & tights to church.
She's still so teeny!
Is it weird that I think this is a big deal? She holds her own bottle now. It's adorable.
Our gatherer. No driving= grocery shopping the old fashioned inconvenient way.
Walking 5 miles to Publix and back. On ice.
Playing with Picnik has been really fun and I am ashamed to admit how long I sat there adding santa beards and confetti borders on pictures and giggling. Insane.
It's now almost 5 and I didn't get to my thrifting yet. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
...I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Thou art guard me through the night, and wake me with the morning light.
I pray for Chamblee every night. I go in after she's asleep, put my hands on her and pray for her. I pray for her health, for her future, for her dreams to be sweet. Different days are different prayers. I always thank God for her life- and I always cry when I do. I am just. so. thankful for her.
I came across this photo in a Facebook album, and I thought it was pretty cool. I think I am going to make a copy for myself and put it somewhere in Cham's room. What a great guide for prayer!
We are hangin' around waiting for the Falcons game tonight. This morning I channeled my inner AG and went thrifting. I got a few things that I am excited to share with you guys! Next blog.
K is home, again (yay!) but kind of by force. His office is open, and a lot of people are trying to go in but reports in our area say there's still too much ice. The roads in to town are pretty steep and he's just not into taking risks. Such a blessing that he an work from home.
I am losing my mind. I have been talkin' smack about getting my bum on a cookie sheet and riding down our driveway -the perfect sledding hill- for a couple of days and today I actually got out there and did it. First I crisco'd the dump out of our largest cookie sheet, then I recruited K to flip video me. Poor decision after poor decision.
1. I shouldn't have crisco'd. That ice is already slick.
2. I should have padded my ba donka donk. I think it's bleeding.
3. I should have worn better shoes. Non-slip shoes. After I rode I couldn't get back up.
4. I should have rolled with it and not tried to stop myself. Hand burn= ouch!
5. I should not post these videos, because not only do I sound like an idiot, but I look ridiculous.
Oh well. For your viewing pleasure:
Right after I stood up the 3rd time, I bit it. Hard. Then I pouted and quit.
At least I got out of the house, and K got a good laugh.
Hope you are making the best of your day!
Cleaned out my DVR by watching everything and played in the snow ice again. We really wanted to walk around and maybe hike up to a main road to see how things were lookin'- I couldn't because of the baby, so K went out on an adventure. He walked a total of about 4 miles and returned home with more frozen pizza and a 12 pack of brewski. Nice. If things aren't cleaned out by tomorrow, I may get the trash can lid out and slide down our driveway. It's pretty steep and all ice. Even though my car is warm and toasty in the garage- I'm not goin' anywhere. I had dinner plans for tonight! Gah. The forecast is sayin' things aren't going to melt until Saturday! WHAT! That's crazy, but I am happy to have K home all day:)
While trying to avoid getting cabin fever- Chamblee has learned to blow bubbles, and it's pretty much hilarious.
I've also discovered a new product that I am in love with. I am a big fan of Baby Powder- when I don't use it I find that her little bumbum gets a little red. I guess from the moisture of the wipe and me not giving enough time to dry. BUT I have also read all the no-no's about using it and the talc powder getting in babies' lungs, etc. SO there's this:
Dustless Powder form Baby Magic. Brilliant. I'm sure it's nothing new- but it's new to me! I don't have any right now, but I saw it the other day and thought as soon as I run out of what I have- I'm gettin' me some! Another product that will soon be new in our home:
A diaper sprayer! Woop! We have been hand washing and shower spraying our cloth diapers for 5 months, and I am tired of it! Haha... Our shower in the new house has great fixtures, and I am not about to replace it with a lousy, ugly, detachable shower head for diaper cleaning. Plus, cleaning the bath tub every night after unloading doody diapers in it is kind of getting old. So, hello toilet sprayer! We are trying to decide if we should make our own or just buy one.
I'm secretly hoping for more snow. We have plenty of food, and I am loving the blanketed movie-filled days and watching K and Chamblee have extra extra quality time. It's just so warm on the inside of this house. It's amazing how cold it is on the outside.
Yeah, everybody's talkin' about the snow. It really is crazy. We got about 7 inches altogether, and the top layer is ice. So when I ran out this morning with my rain boots on to make a snow man and throw snowballs- it actually hurt to step through it. I huffed and puffed and crunched back inside. The roads here are really nasty and, for the most part, closed down. For a couple of days, anyway, the highway that is our backyard appears to be a quiet and blanketed prairie. Can't it snow always? Anyway. I started off with a pretty typical day. It began with coffee and I got a jump on straightening the house. As I folded a blanket from last night's movie, K unfolded it right back and fell into the couch. "It's a snow day. I'm gonna be using this blanket." That set the tone for the day. Other than the occasional trip outside for the oh-so-necessary photo-op, we have been PJ wearin', fire pokin', movie watchin' fools all day. We've morphed into frozen pizza eatin', football watchin', beer/wine drinkin' parents. With the baby down we are finally having time for each other today. Sharing a 'cheers' and a blanket.
My favorite part of K being 'snowed in' from work? Hearing him play the guitar through the monitor when he puts Cham down for her nap. Gah, yank at my heart strings, will ya? Today was the first time that I read to her before I put her down and, yes, I know she doesn't understand. But she pretended to. She sat still on my lap and listened intently while I read "Guess How Much I Love You" and "Time For Bed". I definitely recommend "Time For Bed" to all parents. I have a feeling this will be a favorite for me and Cham! ;) (Thanks, HBC!) I just can't believe she is 5 months old! Can't. Believe it.
Is everyone anyone watching the National Championship game? I just can't pull for Auburn. I know that I should be pulling for the SEC, but I can't. It isn't in me. I could pull for South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Floridaany team that doesn't wear orange. I'm not exactly pulling for Oregon- I just don't have a dawg in the fight. So. I just. can't. pull. for Auburn.
Hey- ya'll know I have another niece or nephew comin' in a few weeks, right? Just sayin'. It's baby fever all around me and I can't get enough. Who's next? You?'Cuz it ain't me! Yeah, I know what a jinx means. Whatev. I currently have 7 friends & family members with child. You know these things happen in 3's. So. Who's it gonna be......?!!! ;)
Just a quick note to let all of you CURIOUS minds out there know that Chamblee's doctor appointment went VERY well! She has gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks! Which is a lot, but the doc said that it's perfect because she is steadily catching up to where she should be. Next month: Shots. Her favorite. SIKE! Pull the right eye down. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about!
She is now neck and neck with Sam, her BEST friend in the WORLD. They are at a whopping 14 pounds even.Way to go Cham!!! Yesterday and today were dedicated to organizing her little room. The room is huge. I went through boxes from the move and boxes that were packed away for bigger clothes. Clothes that now fit her. Too weird. I sat there boxing up the 0-3 month clothes and was kind of sad, kind of shocked and probably mostly in denial:
"Oh, this will definitely still fit her." *hold it up to the shirt she wore yesterday* No way. Not even close. "Oh, but this one will DEFINITELY still fit. See?" *try to squeeze it over her head* Nope. "Well, I know. for a fact. that this is too big." Dangit.
It feels good to finally have her room organized... now if we could ever get anything hung on the walls in there... ... ... cough hinthint cough... ... ... like he reads my blog. Psh.
He does give a mean stare, though. And tonight, this stare means it's time to go to bed.
-ps- this blog might be a little confusing to some of you. Confusing/ADD. It's because I am hyper. K says I act like this when I have had too much caffeine. Which I have. Heh Heh. The rest of you know this behavior as "normal". Whatevs!
Until Next Time,
The Goofalanagans Guff
-pps- K says that people are going to think I'm drunk when they read this. I'm not. He also asked why I signed off as "Goofalanagans" He said: "Why did you say that? Because you are your mother's child?" With a smile. Yes. I. Am!!! Love ya ma!
edit: i just proof-read this post...hope ya'll are laughing as much as I am!
We had just taken a tour of the store and were headed back up to the classroom- when the elevator got stuck. The Fire Department was called and we were saved. I talked myself out of a panic attack- After all,it was only one floor- and managed to come out alive. I was kind of dizzy and hot, and luckily my friend Sheila was there to document my panic the experience. Our teacher was eerily calm and kind of useless. We left the class not for the better and politely asked for a refund. Blah. The teacher was 30 minutes late, we were stuck in the elevator for half an hour, and the class still ended on time- we had our machines out for less than 30 minutes:( I don't think I'll be going back. But at least I got a great pair of sewing shears while I was there! And some pointless fusible interfacing!
In other news, K got a new truck. I don't really have anything else to say about it other than it's big and it's bad.
I opened a twitter account for the bunny today. She has already posted twice. If anyone wants to follow her, she is really wise and has some very interesting things to say. You can check it out for yourself @OphieTalks. She has even figured out how to take pictures. Genius.
Her weight check is tomorrow- we are praying that she has made forward progress. And that I get in and out in 30 minutes so I don't have to pay $4 for parking. Ridic.
And yes, all of you who think I am crazy for letting K cut my hair- I did it. And it kind of looks dumb. He tried really hard and it was more for fun than anything else. I knew his version of "layers" would be funny. Nowadays 90% of the time it's in a ponytail anyway. And most of the time hair grows back. We had a fun little impulsive moment, and a crooked "swoop" is a sweet reminder. Right?
When someone sends a mass facebook message, please reply to sender only. It's kind of annoying to get 30+ dings on my phone with a message from who knows who with a random phone number or address. C'mon!
Brad Womack is The Bachelor again. I wish I hadn't read the spoilers already.
My friend SP, who I have written about before, is having a giveaway. You should check out all of the stuff she's giving away! It's like Oprah's favorite things. For Real. Do it! ...and vote for her while you're there.
I am contemplating opening a Twitter account for Ophie. No, for real. She loves to text, and sending 15 texts from Chamblee to daddy every day probably makes him really unproductive. So I figure she should Twit. Tweet, whatever.
I hear that owls are in. Actually I hear that they are on their way out, but I hear they were in. You know what's strange? I never had a thing for owls. We bought the Little Hoot set for Chamblee and her future --Lord willin'-- little brother. Because it was pretty gender neutral. Sure, they were cute, but my brother is the one who has always had a thing for owls. I guess it just caught on, and now everything Chamblee owns is owl related. I'm not complaining. They are adorable. They are apparently in. They are totally her thing. And now I do love them. I'm just sayin' to say.
Do you think my header is too big? I do. But it'll have to work for now.
Chamblee, I thought we talked about this. You aren't supposed to ever grow up.
So. The formula supplement and the bottle feeding are definitely working. Sweet baby Cham Cham has obviously gained weight and is totally filling out. As an added bonus, she sleeps soundly through the night- and would likely sleep until noon+ like her dad if allowed. Getting her up in the morning is fun because she is the happiest baby in the world. One of two things happen. 1. She is already awake and is just playing with her toes and giggling. 2. She is asleep, I wake her up and she rolls over smiling at me. It's such an amazing feeling that she knows who I am, and when I am the first thing she sees in the morning she loves me. She smiles. She can't wait for me to hold her. It's incredible. Mostly because she has no idea how much I love her.
I have to be honest. I am really bummed that a lot of Chamblee's feedings are majority formula. Breast is Best! I never worried about my milk supply or being able to breast feed- I knew that I would be staying home with her and I knew that I would breast feed for up to a year. The saddest thing, for me, is that she spent naptimes crying it out- which I thought was normal for her to do. Cry herself to sleep. I now realize that she was hungry. I wasn't producing enough milk for her. It breaks my heart and I can't get over it. She was hungry and I didn't feed her. I let her cry until she fell asleep. It kills me. While I don't badger myself over it- I didn't know she was hungry, and I certainly would never make her cry herself to sleep on an empty stomach- I still feel like I failed. I am her mom, and I let her down. That, friends, is the worst feeling that there is. In the world. I feel like I failed because I cannot solely breast feed her anymore. My body doesn't have the ability to produce enough milk. I know that millions of babies are formula fed and they are A-Ok. It just wasn't what I had hoped for. I feel like a lousy mom because I don't have what my baby needs. Even pumping a few times every day I only make one or two bottles. Which I am still doing. Even if it's only a bottle or two, some breast milk in her diet is better than none. How do I make myself produce more milk? Mother's Milk Herbal Tea. Check. Fenugreek. Check. Hydration. Check. Pumping. Check. It just isn't there. And I don't know what to do. It's a hopeless and crappy feeling. Boo.
On to the silver lining- I know that Chamblee is getting plenty to eat, and she is a different baby. She goes down for her nap without one fuss. She sleeps for as long as I'll let her during the day. She laughs and squeals and giggles ALL the time. She sleeps through the night. She's gaining adequate weight. I am really excited about her doctor's appointment this week to see how much weight she has gained. I now have a chunky monkey baby!!! She has rolls and her belly button has popped out. The girl can eat.
The girl also has up's. Watch her bounce:
I am so thankful for her. And I am so glad that I now know what I didn't know then, and that she is getting everything she needs.
I can't wait to show you some pictures of the HOUSE! And maybe have a housewarming bash. Anyone know what Emily Post says about time frame for a housewarming party? We are doing a lot of work around here, but I would love to have everyone over to see it. TBA I guess. . .
New Year's Resolutions. Resolution Shmesolution. I suck at them. Really, really suck. So I am not really making any. K and I have talked about a few things that we would like to do this year- which basically includes nothing. Slow down and enjoy. We are not slow paced people. We are not homebodies. We are not simple. We want to be those people this year. Here are things that I want to do:
{*} Find a church home
Now that we have made a pact to stay at home for a while, it will be a lot easier to devote every Sunday to finding a place of worship.
{*} Eat dinner at the dinner table, not in front of the TV I don't like our current table. I keep hinting telling K that he needs to buy me a new table. It does have chairs so I guess the fact that it isn't my favorite is no reason not to sit down and eat on it. Ugh. {*} Stay at home more Actually fully unpack my suitcase and store it away. Not practically live out of it. {*} Learn to say No To things I don't want to do, or things that will overwhelm me if I take them on. {*} Sew more, craft more, create more I now have a craft nook in our new home, I have a pretty sweet sewing machine and K's mom just gave me an embroidery machine. What What! I want to make time to take full advantage of it all! {*} Not get pregnant. Just sayin' Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled... but I really want time to enjoy Chamblee this year and spend all my time losing the rest of this baby weight loving on her- not throwing up. {*} Slow down and Enjoy Listen to more music. Read more. Spend more time outside. Simplify.
Not too shabby. All realistic goals with great benefits. I am excited about this year. I am embracing it. I am getting started already! I just signed up for a sewing class this week with one of my friends. Hooray!
Lastly, and just for fun... A year in picture review:
I got pregnant. Mae got married! B got married! My sister got pregnant! I turned 25 when the Brinson girls went to San Diego. K and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary in Asheville. My sister-in-law got pregnant! My brother got engaged! Chamblee was born <3. The Guffeys went to California. Sam was born <3. We bought a house. Chamblee had her first Christmas. Meg was born <3... To name a few.
I met the man of my dreams, fell in love and married him in a little chapel wearing a white dress.
I'm a diaper changing, play-doh playing, breast feeding, dinner cooking, house cleaning, and serial texting {all at the same time} kinda mom. I drive a mini van in the carpool line and there are more crumbs on my floor than in my cabinets. I try to get it all done, barefoot, with a baby on my hip.
I strive to stay positive and see the best in everyone. I fiercely believe that nothing is more important than family, and being loyal to the ones you love.
I am a passionate wife, mother, friend and follower of Christ. I am constantly changing, yet remaining the same silly little girl.
