Cheers!

Is it really that wrong?

Is it wrong that we don't officially have a new house yet... and I am already emailing people for things I have found for our not-yet-official-or-even-close-to-official house that I've found on Craigslist? It's not wrong. It's awesome. And practical. Did you know that they have a free section? I can see the eye rolls. I know. I'm like 19 years behind. But I just discovered it and man. There are some rad things in there to be upcycled. I love a good re-do. K seems to think it's not the best idea to accumulate all kinds of new furniture, albeit awesome, right before we have to move. probably twice. He's usually right about these kinds of things. But, you know, I'm saving money, really. So which is the lesser evil? I vote more furniture to move. Says the girl who'll be 7 months pregnant. and not moving a thing.

Also, I am cleaning out my house as we move. You know, Good-willing, selling, trashing, etc. So I'm also kind of making more room. Duh.

That's my favorite part of a move. The cleaning out. The fresh start. Ahhh. Over the course of three kids you accumulate a whole bunch of stuff that you don't need. And a pile of stuff that you-don't-want-but-someone-gave-it-to-you-and-they-would-be-so-mad-if-you-got-rid-of-it. Think that's silly? Wait until you have kids. You mamas know what I'm talking about. *fist bump* It's the truth. You also become attached to ridiculous things. Like the four yogurt cups that I washed out because the kids wanted to play with them. And they play with them every. single. day. every day. So, here's the dilemma. Do I trash the yogurt cups that they adore because, well, it's trash? And keep the loud obnoxious toy that they never play with? Or do I deal with the wrath of purging the noise and literally pack up 4 yogurt cups in the move? Seriously. This is my life. I'm keeping the cups.

I wish that y'all could see how Jacob is eating right now. He eats 3 eggs for breakfast every morning (a whole different story) and he can fit about one scrambled egg at a time in his fists, and makes his best effort to get it all in his mouth. at once. And he usually succeeds. I've never seen anything like it. I tried to get a video. Of course he used his two little fingers and ate like a polite little Englishman eating a tea biscuit. It's like he knew I was filming. Here's a tiny snippet. Just for the sake of I already filmed it. My YouTube is jacked so click HERE to see it. What a rascal.

Today we are swimming, cleaning, grocery shopping and laundering. We are always laundering. What are you good people doing?

I digress.

I know, it's been like 100 days since I blogged. Sue me.
Ok, dramatic reader, it's really only been like 20 days or something. Freak out one time.

We've had a lot on our plates. on our minds. going on. on our hands. Whatever metaphor there is for being busier than a queen bee (wait, queen bees are lazy, right?) I digress.
We are busy.

In less than the last thirty days, we:

-decided to put our house on the market. You know, for fun.
-9 days later, we were under contract. Wait, what?
-we got all kinds of blessed and giddy when my 5th nephew was born. Swoon.
-we took a week off of reality and had a beach vacation. Sans kiddos.
-we house hunted.
-we put an offer on a house. we were too late.
-we house hunted.
-we put another offer in.
-we wait.
-oh, right. I'm pregnant, didn't you hear? We crossed the half way mark.
-we freaked out one time about how fast our kids are growing up. all three.

So, we have been all over the place in our van, in our minds and in our prayers. I'm sorry I haven't been sharing all the drams on my blog. (drams is short for drama, mimi) Even though, it's not really short, is it? I digress.

I don't think I have one funny story to pull out of my pocket to make this blog interesting at all.
:pause:
I just sat here and picked split ends for 5 minutes trying to think or remember anything remotely entertaining to tell y'all about. Truth is, all I could think about was having to move out of here in a few short weeks and having nowhere to go. My next series of blogs may very well be a string of incidents that occur from our month-to-month rental that we move into while continuing the house hunt.
:pause:
Please pray for us. You know, so we don't have to do that.

Sweet River Joshua. Newest Brinson on the block.

Thomas' Day Out.
Yeah, I took a picture of a picture, so what.
Doesn't Cham look like an 80s break dancer? Lurve.

He looks 5.

And 5 months.
How is that possible?

Style.

The proudest big sister, yo.
No, we aren't finding out the sex of the baby this time around.
Call us crazy, and I'll say, "Where have you been? Duh we are."

The view from our condo at the beach.
No filter. That's just God saying BooYah!

Happy Long Weekend!

Sue Me.

I should have known that as soon as K boarded a plane yesterday things would go banana buckets around here. We walked out the door at the same time- he was flying out to Arkansas and I was going on a mission to find my size in a pair of shoes that I had been pining over. For a whole 24 hours. I had a coupon. The kids were chill, so I decided to throw in a grocery trip and a few returns to the agenda. WRONG.

By the time we got done with all my stuff and got to Publix for the necessary stuff, it was game. over. Everyone was screaming. Jacob was screaming because, well, he was pissed. And tired. And hungry. Chamblee was screaming "GIRL'S NIGHT!" Because I had promised mani/pedis and popsicles during her "piggie movie" once we got home.

Did I mention it had started raining? You know, the kind where you don't leave your house. The kind where you don't even open the front door to check it out. It's flippin' raining y'all. Who cares, I'm going for it. We don't have jackets or an umbrella, or food at the house. We have to go in. Jacob isn't wearing shoes. "This will be an adventure, right? They'll love it!" No.

I went around to Cham's side first. The door opened and at first sight I thought I had left a window open and her pants were soaked from the rain. Then I remembered that she had pulled up her own pull-up at the last potty stop, which she doesn't do very well. [And by that I mean, at all.] So, she had an accident, and she might as well have been commando. I'm standing in the rain. I'm so smart. I do what all of y'all would have done. I packed up shop and went home. Siiike. I grabbed a baby blanket from the pile of junk I've been meaning to clean out of my van and wrapped it around her waist. like a sumo diaper. then I put her in the ergo. I toss the other little on my hip and make a run for it.

We make it in. It's not long after I've started my normal route that I am stopped by a woman who doesn't speak English. She's motioning all crazy and I'm all like, "What? Do you see the pee? Yeah, I know. Sue me." But then I realize that she's pointing to the floor. Where my raspberries have busted open and have been making a little Hansel and Gretel trail- complete with boot prints where I have stepped on them along the way. Geez.

I don't make this stuff up. The trail went all the way around to the salad mixes.

I opt out of a full grocery trip, buy some chicken fingers from the deli for dinner and head to the check out. Stopping only once for ghirardelli chocolates. Because, you know, I deserved them.

As we walked out to the van, the skies were blue and the sun was shining. The kids were happy and we sang the whole way home. I got them to bed and finished all of the laundry. It wasn't until some time later that I realized my zipper had been undone for who knows how long, and I had chocolate on my face from a party that afternoon. Or maybe it was from the ghirardelli chocolates. You know I ate them the whole way home. Sue me.
