Never Sausage A Thing

Make these for your husbands, boyfriends, crushes, friends or your own bellies.
They're delicious and easier than making a frozen pizza.

Here's what you need:
*note: you do not ned a high chair

Here's what you need to do:

Here's what you'll end up with:

Takes 30 minutes for the whole deal. Perfect for this Saturday when UGA is playing in the SEC Championship. Go Dawgs!

Of course I got the idea here.

On The List

So this morning I got an itch to rearrange the nursery. So I did. The room is really big but with 2 beds, a changing table, a rocker and a bedside table... it looks smaller and smaller. I think I have it just how I like it now. We'll see. I mean, it's how it's gonna be. Because I have to get a move on decorating this thing. I just haven't felt like it but now I am feeling the pressure and so I am pinning like crazy and making a plan. Here's a sneak peek at things that are on the list and on the way:

I love this.
There's already a frame turned chalkboard over Cham's bed and I need someone *cough YOU or YOU cough* with great handwriting to come over and write it on there.

I really wanted Cham to have a little corner for herself in the new shared room, and there's the perfect spot for this right behind her headboard.
Done.

I kind of like the idea of something a little more permanent, for memories, (in the pantry, the garage door, inside a closet, etc.) but something like this needs to be in that room. There's a little stretch of wall calling out for a ruler and a pencil.

If anyone out there sees a trash can like this, please let me know!
Perfect for a hamper.
Need it.

Can't decide if I want a book wall like these in the playroom or in the bedroom.
Or both.
Either way, one's a comin'.

Kind of obsessed.
I love baskets.
And I'm sure K really, really wants to paint or wallpaper their closets.
Maybe I'll let him.

And then there's this.
A laundry basket covered to make a bassinet.
I think this one is dreadful.
But I think it's a great idea. I haven't asked my mom to make a cover for a laundry basket before,
but I'm sure she's up to the "challenge".
She'll say it's easy. She's brilliant. Where'd those genes go?

Shelves for the baby room?
Over.
I love these. So much.

Where can I buy these?
Y'all know I'm not making 'em.

So, I've got a lot to do. It'll get done. {That's what K says, anyway} I'm having a hard time finding any alone time these days. The bunny's top and bottom molars are breaking through which leaves me with a frustrated and hurting little girl. It's all we can do not to snuggle up with our favorite owl and watch Horton Hears a Who. Sometimes she falls asleep, to which I have to wake her up so as not to extend her bedtime to midnight. It's a hard thing to do, but oh so adorable.

Off to get my hair did.

Gobble Gobble

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!

This is Chamblee last year at Thanksgiving. Doesn't she look so different and exactly the same? This was during her red head phase. Strange.

Hope y'all get to spend the day with the people and food that you love. And of course, remember what you're thankful for. There's just so much, isn't there?

Or less...

89 Days? What is going on here? Time is playing a cruel trick on me. We've got 89 days. 89 days left to be a family of 3. 89 days to finish my to-do list. 89 days to pick a name for our baby boy. 89 days to get his nursery ready. 89 days to have Chamblee all to myself. 89 days. Wow. That doesn't seem so far off. Christmas is in 33 days. Thirty Three. Let's all give a big jaw drop to that one. I gotta start buying making stuff. I'm just too big. Too tired. Too pregnant. Too busy. And so on and so forth.

While I procrastinate, I'll continue to enjoy some of my current favorite things:
Heating pad. If you're pregnant and you don't have one, get one.

Homemade sugar scrub from my friend, Joon.
Can't stop using it.

Oreos and milk.
Every day.

Lotion from Bath & Body Works.
My SIL brought it home to me Saturday and it's probably almost empty.
Not really, but kind of.
It smells. so. good.

I love tea.
This is the best tea I've ever had.
At least one a day.

That's what I'm crushing on this week. I'm also crushing on the new sweater I bought a couple of weeks ago to wear to Thanksgiving dinner. And now it's gonna be like 70 degrees. T-shirt it is.

A Day in the Life

I've seen people do this on their blogs lately, so I thought I'd go for it. I started in the morning and took pictures as we went about our day. Some days are busier, some days are boring. Here's what we did last Thursday:

I woke up early, made Cham some breakfast and ironed a shirt for K.

Cham Cham ate, fed herself oatmeal.

Then we played. And played and played.

She got a bath.

And a nap.

While she napped "I" vacuumed & did some laundry

Tidied up the house.

We got dressed and met Annie for lunch

We found out Nona was in town, so we made a quick pit stop...

...before we had to pick up the dogs from the groomer,

and head to the dentist.

Quick trip to Wal Mart for a few things,

and back home to make a Paleo-style dinner.

After dinner my two loves loved on each other...

and played and played and played...

We put the baby to bed...

and worked on a name for our little baby boy. With no luck.

Would love to see what your days look like!

"I don't do that kind of help"

I don't do yard work.

My Mimi? All over it.
My dad? Loves it.
My oldest brother? Lives for it.
K? Breathes it.

As my {oldest} charming niece once told me after I asked her to help me clean up a spilled bag of makeup, "I don't do that kind of help."

So, today, when I peeked out the window and saw K doing the yard work, I didn't feel a bit guilty. He loves it, I hate it. That's that. I kept tidying the house, swaying to BB King on Pandora and catching glimpse after glimpse of him out the window. Working hard.

I guess I could ask. So I opened the front door and yelled, "Hey, need any help?" He paused. Looked around and said, "Nope" pretty confidently. At the risk of getting off too easy, I said, "You sure?" knowing he had evaluated the scene and would send me back inside to the smell of apple cider candles burning. "Well, you could help me bag these leaves." What. For real? "These leaves" You mean, those thousands of leaves? I can do this.

So I headed down the driveway to help scoop up the leaves. It took less than 5 minutes. It's over, and I helped. Mission accomplished, good wife badge earned for the day.

"Hey, can you scoop up that other pile while I start on...." I don't. even know. what he said. There's more? Ok. I can do this. "Wait, you shouldn't be doing this." And he pointed to my belly. He thinks I'm a wuss because I'm 6 months pregnant. "Yeah, I'll do it. I'm not that pregnant." And I did. And then I went inside. Where it was warm. And smelled like apples baking.

I really was happy to help my husband. I just wish it was helping him do something else, is all.

As I started to write this blog it reminded me of something we have been reflecting a lot on in our Bible Study lately. Asking God to challenge our faith, to make it stronger. Because after all, we do want a stronger faith, right? I just don't want Him to challenge me in certain ways. I mean, I don't want Him to take anyone or anything away from me that I love or enjoy- just the small things. The things that I could surely stand to lose. But what good would that do? It's like asking K to let me help, but asking him to let me help him organize and color coordinate something. Sure, it's help, but it's no challenge for me. It's no sacrifice.

It's me saying to God, "I want you to use me, but not like that."  And I don't like the sound of me saying that to Him!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."

Seriously So What: I'm Tired Edition

So what if the child locks on the cabinets catch me more than they do Cham. She remembers they are there, I don't. Bah Humbug.

So what if my last 10 purchases on iTunes were 80's greats that apparently no one remembers. On sale for $0.69? Done and Done. Times 5.

So what if while K was out of town I wore a t-shirt to Bible Study, slept in it and wore it again the next day. And slept in it. Again. It's not like I went in public people. I doubt Chamblee noticed.

So what if I think I'm really funny sometimes. It's because I am.

So what if I bought two of the same shirt, same color, different size. I wanted to have the shirt now and when I blow up whale-style in a few months weeks.

So what if I am a terrible dresser. Terrible. No style.

So what if I can down a box of cereal in 3 days. It's the fastest thing to make for breakfast and lunch. And snack. Sometimes dinner.

So what if  eggs gross me out to. the. MAX! Gross gross gross. When I make them for Cham I kind of gag a little.

So what if I'm married to Steve Jobs take 2 and I only know how to Facebook & Blog on this here machine. Opposites attract?

So what if I'm always late. I rarely cancel. So there.

You know I can't blog without pictures of Chamberoo. That's why people come to this thing anyway, right? Pictures of the baby big girl? {we're working on that transition...} I was piddling around in our room the other night and Chamblee was apparently bored of it:

And then bored of me, altogether...

Hope y'all had a happy hump day. I've had a rough week and am really looking forward to some laughs & crafts with my sis-in-law and her sweet baby boy this weekend. {We're putting the mens to work} Starting tomorrow! There's fun to be had...
