Adiozzz October!

Chamblee was a sweet pink bunny rabbit for Halloween last year. The suit was huge, and so we decided she would be a bunny rabbit again this year. And probably the next, for that matter. Well, this was not OK with her Nona. So, Nona surprised us and made a honey bee costume for my sweet girl! It was kind of the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Checking things out

"Hey, I'm a bee"

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just going to pollinate.

Bzzz

I was more excited about having a home this year and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters than really necessary. I stared out the window for probably 2 hours before the first ring of the doorbell. When it rang I did a little happy dance and opened the door. Cutest. Kids. Ever. . . . and that was the end. The rest of the night was let down after let down. The rest of the kids were driving themselves door to door, I'm pretty sure. One guy had a mustache. A real one. There weren't any costumes, "trick-or-treats", or thank you's. So. I hoarded the good candy and shut the porch light off. Bah Humbug.

And that ended our October.

Here's what else we were up to last month:

We went to Nashville for a dear friend's wedding

Chamblee pooped for the first time in the bath tub.
I thought it was something that was not poop and picked it up.
Bare handed.
She laughed.

DD and Nona came to watch Cham for the weekend...

So we could go back to Nashville for a concert.

We missed her, so we did some FaceTime.

I finally got Cham to snuggle with me :)

And I learned how to clarify butter.

Pretty good month. So glad November is here! Big, big plans for this month and this house.

Until Next Time,
The Guff

  1. Yessss!!! Poop in the tub! This month was also your first kid-vomiting, if I'm remembering correctly. You are officially a pro now. You can now say, "Well, this isn't my first rodeo." And look a little smug when you do it.

SUPER BUMMER about the trick-or-treaters! Dangit. False advertising last year??

Nutmeg lost her wings Monday night. :( :( :(

    I love you!

  2. Cham is a precious bumblebee, but I'm sure you already knew that! You look so great to be 25 weeks pregnant. I'm jealous! I did not look like that...maybe next time around.

Did you fix your email/blog issue? :)
