My knee has been hurting for around two weeks. Every day it gets worse... but I am not a go-to-the-doctor kind of person. Well, today I went. And proved my point. He pretty much told me that I had a textbook meniscus tear. Wonderful. My options were to get a cortisone shot or an MRI. I opted for the shot, for now.
He asked me to walk around afterwards to get used to the feeling. I did. Soon after I started hearing a ringing sound... then my legs started to buckle... I started pouring sweat... I sat Cham on the table and then everything started to go black. Here we go. He said, "You're not going to pass out are you?" ... followed by my quick "Yep." I noticed that he had already put his arms under mine and was moving me towards the chair. My legs weren't working. I wouldn't let go of Cham's arm- I didn't want her to fall off the table. Next thing I know I'm slumped over in the chair and he is holding Cham, walking around the office. Showing her off. Two female doctors were in the room with smiles and a cold glass of water. I started crying. I was so. embarrassed. I chugged the water and hauled it out of there. "Don't you want to schedule you're follow up appointment?" I heard one of them say from about ten yards back...Nope. Not today. I had to get out of that place. Immediately. Mortified.
That's pretty much the kind of day it's been. Crap. My sweet, sweet baby niece is in the hospital tonight. It breaks my cold heart to see her in that itty bitty hospital gown. It swamps her. She's too leetle to be sick. I hate it. HATE. IT.
that's her. the adorable teeny weensy one in the middle
What am I LOVE.ING? Pinterest. I joined the bandwagon. It has given me awesome ideas for Cham's first birthday party. And other stuff. Like a homemade rice shaker toy. I made it. She loves it.
Oh, Cham. You make my heart melt.
Until Next Time,
The Guff

Wow! What a story! I'm glad the doctor liked Cham. And nice work with the rice shaker!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so sad for the teensy one, too. Every time I picture her it makes me so, so sad.
No wonder you haven't blogged in a while! I'm so sorry about your knee and your precious niece :( Love the video, what a cutie!
