DIY by Pinterest

I am pretty obsessed with doilies. {If you follow me on Pinterest, you are well aware.} I'm pretty sure they are going to steal the show at the bunny's birthday party. They are very inexpensive and so adorable. Dainty, girlie, simple and classic. Perfect for a one year old's birthday party. Right? I am not big on themes... so there won't be any princesses or cartoon characters. Hopefully ever. I guess when she is old enough to beg I may reconsider. I'm getting excited about her birthday party- the 'making everything myself' and 'i love doilies' part of it. I'm iffy on her actually turning one. ONE. I can't believe it's so soon.

Here are some pictures that have me wiping drool off my chin:

I'm dying. It's so cute & easy. Which is even better than the price or the look. Do ya'll have any doily ideas? Other than for coffee saucers?

I am getting some pretty cool ideas for her party all around on this site. It is so helpful. What do you think? ::

Cupcake Liners! Genius!

Ugh. Pinterest is sucking hours of my day. Can't get enough.
I'm outta here. Gotta hit up Ebay for some vintage ...what else. Doilies.

  1. At one of Pixie's early birthdays, we added doilies to construction paper to make fans for all of the little girls to use at the tea party. I like the cute cleanness of them in your ideas (if that makes sense). I also love the photo collage number on the wall!

  2. LOVE all of these. I am so with you on anti-themed (especially tacky cartoon ones!) parties. Can't wait to see all of your ideas come to life.

  3. PS I also am so with you on anti-themed parties. It has worked with my girl, but the boys are so. crazy. about Cars, and Star Wars, and Thomas...I've gotten away with just doing wrapping paper and cake plates, but it gets to the point where if it makes them happy, then...well, it's their birthday(s).

Feel free to throw pretty doilies and rocks.
