Thank ya, Thank ya ver' much

Dadgum! It's been a whole week+ since I blogged. Sorry. I've had a lot going on, a lot on my mind and a lot of losing my camera cord. So- I have no fun pictures for you but I do have a few things to say before this day is over.

I have ten thank you's for today.

First, I'd like to thank Publix. I was never really a Publix shopper before we moved to this part of town, but now I wouldn't go anywhere else. The employees are so helpful in finding things that I can't. Which is a lot. A few things every trip. They almost always unload my cart for me if I have Chamblee there. "Let me help you, I know how busy your hands are with that beautiful baby." They always say something sweet like that. And today- when I didn't know how in the world I was gonna make shredded pork {you can't buy it that way?} This so sweet man picked the meat out for me, and told me exactly how to make a mean Boston Butt. "It'll pull right off that bone, sweetheart." I felt like I was in a commercial. Thank you Publix.

Secondly, I'd like to thank my doctor's office. Not. You see, I have what I believe is a brain tumor. It only makes sense. I have headaches. I have blurry vision. I also have an ear ache.  I can't really hear anything. Some might call these symptoms of the pollen in the air, some might say I have an ear infection and some might say I need to wear my glasses. I sincerely hope you optimists are correct. I, however, am almost certain it is a tumor and I want to get on this early diagnosis thing. I called to make an appointment today and was unable to get ahold of anyone. So, I will endure the pain for another day.
Just hope it's not too late.

Thirdly, I want to thank my friends Sheila & Alaina for giving me a new outlook on life furniture. Thank you for introducing me to spray paint. It has changed my home. I now see everything in a different color. It's fun. And easy. And affordable.

My fourth thank-you goes to whatever I keep scratching my hand on. My right hand. Every. Single. Day. I find myself bleeding and just wonder what happened. They aren't little cat scratches. They are bleeding down my hand scratches that I don't feel. I just find blood. It is so very bizarre I almost wonder if I should post about it. Oh well. Thank you, scratches, for keeping things interesting around here.

Thank you #5 is square at Bailey, my spoiled little princess man. Thank you for being consistent in peeing on my bathroom floor every. night. You've made it easy for me to use doggie pee-pads, but really frustrating when I forget. Middle of the night bathroom trips are never cool when I've had a memory lapse. Thank you Bailey for keeping my on my toes. Literally.

Sixthly, {real word?} I'd like to thank Netflix. For everything. It has saved me from boredom during road trips, cable outages and insomnia. It has also made me a lazy bum, but that's not the point. Thank you Netflix for feeding my need to watch a new series from start to finish in record time.

Seventh shout out: Owlie. Thank you doesn't even do justice.

The eighth thank you for the day goes to a big ol' basket of laundry in my floor. Thanks for reminding me who's boss. Every other day.

The ninth owners of a thank you from me today are my jeans. For fitting me again. Almost all of ya.

The tenth and final thank you is to all of the spiders in my house. I see about 4 different kinds every day. Thank you for scaring me. Thank you for making me scream and do the scaredy cat dance in front of my daughter. Thank you for making me run around trying to find something to swat at you with. Thanks for moving or jumping or repelling down your web at the exact moment I swing at you with all of my might- so you survive. And I almost don't. But most importantly- thank you for existing. Really. Because if you weren't around that would mean lizards were eating you. Which would mean lizards were around. And even though I am trying to kill you- let's agree that my killing you is better than a lizard's way. Spiders, thanks for being a good sport.

Until Next Time,
The Guff
