Oh Y'all

Oh Y'all.

Chamblee is the best big sister (aside from my own, of course). She is in a phase where she wants to help. And I mean, help with ev.ery.thing. It's very sweet and it's often funny. I love to hear her talking in the next room, "I helping mama". Only to find her unloading the trash can- just so she can put all the trash back in. Or to hear a giant squeal coming from the bouncy seat that Jake is sleeping in- and finding that she has yanked out his pacifier... just so she can give it back to him. "I helping mama." She has the sweetest heart. She understands the concept of sharing already, kind of, and will steal a toy right out of your hand- just so she can give it right back and share it with you. I love that girl. And she loves her brother.

And she likes to help get him dressed, too.

Poor Guy.

Oh Y'all.

Speaking of best big sisters- I'm going to see mine. In just 21 days. TWENTYONEDAYS! She lives in beautiful Santa Barbara with her beautiful family in the lizard capitol of the world, it seems. What a shame. They are the size of cats out there. No, seriously. Anyway, I like to think that my love for her & her family are greater than my fear of lizards, so I am braving the storm. And. I. Can't. Wait. I can't wait to hug her neck and laugh together (in person) and drink red dirt girls or mojitos {both, duh} and squeeze her children so tight she has to tell me to let go and then weep when we leave. Ugh. I'm interested in how the flight will be with 2 babies, but hey. If they cry the whole time it's only 6 hours. on a plane. with nowhere to hide. Right? It'll be fiiiiine. Now down to business. Who wants to watch our dogs?

Oh Y'all.
I have a fear of washing Owlie. She knows him so well and every time I wash him I get so scared he will be like new and she will hate him. Well. I just washed him for like the 3rd time in history and this is what he came out looking like:

Perfect.
For some reason, she only likes to hold on to, suck on, chew, play with and rub under her nose the left arm of Owlie. It's bananas. And it shows. yuck. It's crazy that she knows which arm is which, and you can see her in her sleep reaching for him...grabbing the right arm and tossing him around until she finds the left arm. ba.na.nas. Are your kids crazy monkeys like mine?

Oh Y'all.

Jake started smiling. And laughing. I just died all over again.

"oh no you di'int!"
COG makes this exact. face.
Scary.

And, because I am crazy in the brain, here's a video. Ignore me, please. Just watch the cute baby!

Two people yesterday told me that JCG looked "just like me". Huh? Come again? Say Whaaaaat?! I personally do not see an iota of that. But if by saying he looks like me, what you really mean is, "He doesn't look like K's identical twin like Cham did and still does to this very moment" then yes. I concur. I guess. But hey, like K said, "It's not a competition." Everything is a competition. Duh. Round 2: Guffey children Look-A-Likes goes to... me? Eh. Let's be honest. I will just have to rack up wins in another category. Category: TBD. I'm getting so much better at losing.

Until Next Time,
The Guff
