I can't wait for more chaos. I counted and I know 20 people who are pregnant. A legit 20. of my friends. are pregnant. Ok, so I am only friend friends with 17. But I know 20. That means there's room for one more. Because you know things happen in 3's... Is it you? Isn't it amazing? It seems to be the year of boys. So far, only 3 of the 20 are having girls.
I have heard that you get bigger faster with your second baby, but I don't think that's true. I'm not really showing yet... and unless I pop out in the next 2 weeks, last year I got bigger. quicker. I'm in my 17th week and things are moving right along. It goes so much faster when you are already chasing around a busy bee. I just found a blue crayon in my jeans' pocket. And yesterday I found a rotten apple in my car and a dirty diaper in the back of K's truck. I also found a sippy cup in C's diaper bag with solid, curdled milk in it. Gag. There's a puzzle piece in my sweater pocket and I'm pretty sure she dropped something inside her daddy's guitar this morning. I just heard the thump. Hm.
I'm ready for more chaos. Organized chaos. My biggest nerve grater right now is the garage. Not that that baby will be in there. ever. But I want it organized. Like, Martha Stewart, shelves from the ceiling, cute rug on the ground, organized. And it will be, because my husband loves me. Even though I'm crazy. Good thing the dog ate Cham's other blue crayon on the living room rug this morning. Perfect timing to move the ruined rug into the garage.
I can't wait to have a snuggly new baby again. And a boy! Holding my new new nephew, Abe, has just reminded me all about little bitty babies. It makes me think. I wish my sister lived closer. Even just a couple hours away so we could meet once a week and talk shop. I miss her. It's hard to grow up in a big family and then be spread out and on your own. It's nice that K's brother & sister are pretty close and we get to see them all the time! Especially with the new baby!
I'm on a closet cleaning out kick. My clothes, baby clothes, blankets, linens, bags. Just boxes and bags of things I hold onto for no reason. I'm the least sentimental person, ever. I don't hang onto pictures drawn for me or birthday cards or pictures. But I can't get rid of a good bag or blanket. Bizarre, really.
My favorite thing to do lately is watch Chamblee learn. See her get a little frustrated... and figure it out on her own. It's awesome. She is so proud of herself. She claps for herself. She says 'Good Job' and "Yayyyyy" and then she moves on to the next thing. I love it.
She's the best. So far.
Until Next Time,
The Guff
